Suede & Fabric Colour (No.35)

This colourant lets you retouch over marks and stains in fabrics, suede and carpet. As a non-film-forming colourant, it delivers colour into porous surfaces like suede without leaving a coating or flattening the nap.

  • Non-film-forming colourant for woven and napped leathers
  • Suitable for use on suede, some fabrics and carpets
  • Available in a range of mixable colours
  • Apply by spray, brush, or sponge
  • Apply in coats until coverage is achieved
  • Ideal for refreshing white canvas shoes using the colour Sports Shoe White
  • Partially penetrating
  • Ideal for spot touch-ups over stains
  • Can be used to boost the overall same colour of smaller items such as leather jackets or handbags
  • Generally not suitable for large projects such as full furniture make-overs

Great for canvas sports and casual shoes

Give your canvas shoes a makeover with this clever fabric colourant. When your white shoes become drab, yellowed or stained, Suede & Fabric Colour can give them a new lease on life.

Directions for use

  1. Wash and dry your shoes.
  2. Spritz, paint or dab colour onto the canvas.
  3. Wipe off non-fabric areas and allow drying between each application.
  4. Use Shoe Whitener (No.24) to re-whiten the leather, vinyl or rubber parts for a complete makeover.

All types

Use as needed.

Cut a patch that is 1.5 to 2 times the size of the opening in the leather. Insert it under the opening. The patch can be anchored in two ways:

1) Glued: Apply glue to the edges of the underside of the hole. Wait until the glue is almost dry then add an additional layer. Wait a few minutes for the glue to become tacky. Join and firmly hold the parts in place until bonded. Depending on the amount of glue used, humidity and porousity of your leather, this may be minutes or a couple of days. Wipe away excess immediately.

2) Stitched: Insert the sub-patch then stitch through the edges of the leather opening and through the mesh.

Glue can be applied after stitching.

Always clean leather and vinyl before gluing. Wash up in water. Keep airtight.
