This super strong mesh is fine yet yielding. It measure 250mm x 150mm which allows for several small repairs or a large one.

How to use a sub-patch to repair a leather tear

1) Cut a round edged patch that is larger than the tear. Your patch can be up to twice as large as the tear.

2) Use a palette knife or other tool to place and position the patch under the leather. Ensure there are no kinks or curls in the patch.

3) Insert and spread some glue behind the tear and onto the patch. Apply glue to the edges of the tear and bring the edges together. Wipe away any excess glue from the surface. Masking tape or weights can be used to immobilise the join during drying.

4) Allow the join to remain undisturbed until the glue has dried.

All types

Use as needed.

Apply using a palette knife or sponge to the underside of edges of the leather as needed. Wait until the glue is almost dry then add an additional coat for extra strength. Join and firmly hold the parts in place for minutes or until bonded. Wipe away excess immediately. Always clean leather and vinyl before gluing. Wash up in water. Keep airtight.
